Tri-State Brick is an east coast region brick and building supplier. Their main office is located in Manhattan with 5 satellite offices throughout New York and New Jersey. Tri-State was interested in verifying the accuracy of their MCI account because it had been 3 years since they started using MCI for all of their local and long distance phone service. They also wanted to see what other options were out there.
A thorough audit of Tri-State's invoices was performed. This included all locations. National uncovered a billing error by MCI which amounted to approximately $435 per month. Additionally, they have several small offices around the New York metropolitan area. Brecher was interested in cost reduction and general consultative support. National reviewed all of their voice and data services.
Brecher had their voice with AT&T and their frame relay data network with Verizon. National was able to negotiate a plan with AT&T where they assumed the frame relay network from Verizon, saving the firm $1,200 per month. Additionally, National put the Brecher's 3 large locations on PaeTec Communications for voice. This saved the firm another $3,500 per month.
Brecher Fishman now spends over $56,000 per year less than previous and has a better quality of service and support. Furthermore, National is the now the full-time communications consultant for a 60 lawyer firm. National's consulting service consists of everyday support of their voice and data services, responsibility of telecom related projects and decision-making authority of most telecom purchases.
Signature Bank
Signature Bank is one of the fastest growing banks in the New York Metropolitan area. They currently have 20 branches and a thriving private banking operation. Their goal was similar to most companies today: save money without sacrificing quality. National approached Signature with not only the opportunity to accomplish their goal, but the opportunity to establish a relationship that will benefit them each and every day. The audit was a very in-depth process due to the fact that Signature had a variety of vendors and countless bills. This fact alone made it very difficult for Signature to manage much less uncover errors or opportunities to save.
National broke down the entire situation into a single spreadsheet. National found an inaccuracy with Signature's MCI bills that produced a $14,000 credit. Furthermore, National was able to negotiate new pricing with MCI on behalf of Signature. This produced a savings of $3,000 per month on Signature's local voice service. Additionally, National replaced Sprint as the international voice carrier and saved Signature $4,000 per month.
National was also able to place all of the branches onto a single provider, on a single bill thereby streamlining the billing and reduce costs by $1,000 per month. Signature saved $8,000 per month and received a credit of $14,000.
